DELIVERY

WE DO NOT MAKE ANY PROFIT ON DELIVERY AND PACKAGING AND ARE CONSISTENTLY CHEAPER THAN MOST OF, IF NOT ALL, OF OUR COMPETITORS.  WHAT WE CHARGE OUR CUSTOMERS IS WHAT WE HAVE TO PAY.  

We will try wherever possible to use re-cycled packaging to keep these costs as low as possible and in line with our pledge to the environment.

Our delivery charge is based on weight and parcel size.  We cater for our customers who want to order cases of beer or lager or do their weekly or monthly gluten free shop with us. 

Orders (for delivery within UK Mail's mainland UK area) will be despatched as standard Home and Business Delivery using UK Mail's next working delivery service, please note this is not a paid for guaranteed service - it is what UK Mail aim for, sometimes delays can occur, the same as any other delivery service, we will always aim to update a customer if there is a delay.   We will aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours (this can be 48 during busy periods).  You will receive an email or SMS to confirm the dispatch number and approximate delivery time and date. Please note that adhearing to our licensing laws means parcels containing alcohol cannot be left without obtaining an adult signature to help protect minors.

Food orders received from 1pm on Friday will not be dispatched until the following Monday.

We may be able to deliver overseas, let us know which hamper or case you are thinking of sending and we will get a courier price for you (based on destination, weight and volume).  

If you have a specific delivery request, please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Parcels must be signed for(please see below).

We do not offer delivery on weekends or bank holidays (some depots are carrying out Saturday deliveries though)

If all 2 attempts to deliver by our carrier have failed, or you have supplied an incorrect address we cannot refund the cost of carriage.

 

Any damages should be signed for as damaged on the driver's manifest.  Please notify us within 24 hours of delivery.

 

In accordance with the Licensing Act 1964, it is an offence for any person under 18 to buy or attempt to buy intoxicating drinks.  By placing an order you are confirming that you are aged 18 or over.  Please note that we run age verification software on our site in accordance with licencing laws and require all orders that are placed for alcohol to be made by registered customers only.  UK Mail's drivers are made aware when they are delivering age restricted products and will always require a signature on delivery by an adult - any person suspected to be under 18 will be asked for identification before the parcel can be left with them, failure to provide sufficient identification will result in the parcel being retained and sent back to us.  We cannot leave parcels containing alcohol in a safe place due to the need for a signature - we can obtain the signature from a neighbour so please feel free to mention this is the despatch notes.

 

Bottles and labels can and do vary and the images shown on the website may not be the same as current stock items, we reserve the right to substitute for a brand of the equivalent or higher value. 

If you are not satisfied for any reason then goods should be returned intact within 14 days of receipt.  Cost of carriage in this instance is the customer's responsibility.  Christmas and gift hampers cannot be returned as they contain perishable items.

We accept no responsibility for failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond our control.  Should the wrong delivery area be erroneously selected then we will take any additional charges/make refunds to our customers to the card they paid with.

VAT is charged on relevant products including carriage at the prevailing rate. VAT is included in the prices listed in the Online store for products sold, a breakdown will be shown in your basket on the said checkout page.
