Ambar is a barley malt beer brewed and bottled in Spain ideally suited for all coeliacs. With a gluten level of 6ppm (parts per million) . With all the characteristics of a traditional Spanish flavoured beer Ambar has an ABV of 5.2% and a smooth malty taste. This is currently one of the best value gluten free beers we stock.
Estrella Damm have created a new beer without gluten containing the highest quality ingredients , producing a distinctive crisp light flavour with a full body. Daura is a deceptively strong lager with an ABV of 5.4%. We think it will prove to be one of the most popular gluten free drinks, served ice cold, a perfect companion on a summer evening. Estrella Damm states that the gluten contained in the barely malt included in the beer's ingredients has been hydrolysed during the production process. This guarantees the final products gluten content is below 9ppm (parts per million). So that people who have a gluten intolerance can enjoy the unmistakable flavour of Estrella Damm Daura with total assurance.
Nick Stafford's Hambleton Ales ( GFL gluten free lager) produced their first beer free from gluten in 2005, with the pedigree of a CAMRA award in 1997 for the champion winter beer of Britain, together with their with gluten free ale this gluten and wheat free lager looks set to be another success. It is a characterful fruity lager derived from finest continental stylian hops and traditional East Kent Goldings. A refreshing amber lager with a real bite at 5.2% ABV.
Nick Stafford's GFA is Hambletons gluten and wheat free Ale, it has a strong dark colour and real ale aroma with the flavour to match.
Green's Premium Pils and Golden Ale are both an exciting new introduction from Britain's original gluten free brewery. These latest beers from Greens are brewed in Belgium with natural spring water and a selection of the finest de-glutenised barley malt and hop varieties. Greens Premium Pils has a fresh, clean taste and is so good you would fail to tell it is a wheat free lager. Green's Premium Golden Ale has a dark colour with a fruity aroma and the same distinctive flavour as its pils partner. Greens only use natural tannins in the clearing process, which gives the beer a hazy body. It is also suitable for coeliacs who have vegetarian and vegan diets.
Schnitzer Brau is an organic gluten free beer. Brewed with a special millet malt and water from Germany's Black Forest. It is a sweet beer, golden in colour, with a fruity aroma.
Against the Grain is a wheat and gluten free maize ale from Wold Top Brewery in Yorkshire. A pale lager ale with a suprisingly strong flavour belies it pale appearance. 4.5% ABV.
St Peters brewery launched its gluten free g-free range in 2007.with its own deep bore water source within the chalk layer of its Bungay Suffolk based brewery,a fresh clean ale is always guaranteed.St Peters brew traditional beers as well as this excellent Gluten Free Beer,it has a deep malty flavour derived from the finest american amarilo hops,with a hint of citrus.with an abv of 4.2% a fine pilsner style beer brewed to the usual high standard expected from the St Peters Brewery

Wheat free Cornflakes / Gluten free cornflakes - Doves Farm organic corn flakes are firm golden flakes of corn that stay crunchy once topped with soya or dairy milk for longer than Kelloggs corn flakes .( maize is also known as corn hence the term "corn flakes"). Also Doves Organic Choco Stars a great treat for adults and kids alike. Dietary Specials vegetarian cornflakes are made from gluten free and wheat free maize. These maize flakes have a light crunch but are a little less substantial than Doves cornflakes. DS Cornflakes with vitamins B6 and B12 provide a nutritious free from wheat start to the day, making it an ideal alternative to wheat breakfasts, especially with a scattering of fresh blueberries or strawberries on top.
Porridge - Hale & Hearty wheat free and gluten free porridge are both tasty and nourishing they are real gluten free oats not a blend of ingredients acting as a porridge substitue. They have been produced specifically for the wheat free diet and therefore are free from wheat / gluten derivatives. This wheat free porridge is slightly more substantial in texture and appearance than Glebe Farm Oats. A warming way to start those cold winter mornings.
Glebe Farm porridge oats is suitable for a high fibre Coeliac diet. "Get up & Go"porridge oats are great value for money and is real porridge not a gluten free blend. At Glebe Farm gluten free mill the Elisa gluten test prevents oats from contamination ensuring the oats are free from wheat and gluten.
Please note that current medical advice states that those on a gluten-free diet (wheat free diet) because of coeliac disease or gluten intolerance should introduce free from oats slowly and gradually as their wheat free breakfast. A recommended start would be 25g of gluten free oats for breakfast twice a week for the first 4 weeks.
Pancakes - Hale & Hearty's 4 grain pancake mix is a great choice for those choosing wheat free food. In stocking both wheat free bread mixes, that we have had very positive feedback from, and fresh gluten free bread called Genius that is freezeable and does not crumble like many gluten free and wheat free breads, we are hopefully giving you a choice of high quality, fresh tasting gluten free bread. Genius bread is comparable to normal bread in many ways, it comes in both white and brown small sized loaves. The fresher the bread is the better its taste. Particularly recommend is toasting this wheat free bread, the brown bread is full of texture and crunch when toasted just like a good quality normal brown bread, you really would struggle to tell the difference. It is wonderful to enjoy gluten free toast with a full English breakfast. This wheat free bread is also excellent as a sandwich bread not tasting too dry and plastic or crumbling. I have been informed by one of my customers that slicing this wheat free bread when purchased and storing it in the freezer and then using the slices when needed helps retain its freshness.
